In Mexico, many children and adolescents still face violations of their fundamental rights due to difficult coordination among institutions and the lack of integrated digital tools. The absence of unified data systems limits timely responses and transparency in protection processes.
UNICEF Mexico, in collaboration with the National System for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (SNDIF), supports the development of “Por tus Derechos”, a national information system designed to strengthen coordination between state and municipal protection agencies. The project aims to improve digital case management, enhance institutional capacity, and promote accountability in protecting children’s rights.
We provided technical and project management support to enhance the platform’s design, user experience, and interoperability. Our team contributed to the development roadmap, stakeholder coordination, and the creation of tools, refactor of the API and training materials that facilitate adoption and sustainable use at the national level.
The “Por tus Derechos” project showcases our ability to implement large-scale digital solutions for social protection systems. It highlights our expertise in coordinating stakeholders, designing user-friendly government platforms, and integrating data across different institutional levels. This experience enhances our capacity to replicate similar child protection, case management, or rights-based monitoring systems in other countries and humanitarian settings.
