French Red Cross PIROI was preparing a new Alert and Anticipatory Action training (AAA) training, for Indian Ocean Red Cross Red Crescent national societies representatives. This training was developed by the Red Cross staff that will facilitate, but they didn’t have the time to include Learner’s booklet. As RA included one for a previous training curriculum developed for the client, they requested RA to develop one for the AAA training.
The approach taken was to adapt the structure of the document developed for AHGI training to specificities of AAA training, depending on the inputs provided by the client. When this first step was agreed, content was dragged from the different elements provided (agenda, modules presentation, external references, etc.), to feed this learning tool.
The structure of the document was developed for previous training by RA and proved to be useful, as the client requested to develop a new one for another training. The same team worked on both projects, ensuring quality of the output, especially as both team members were training specialists and really knowledgeable about the training framework and targeted audience.
