The SISEO project supported Planète Enfants & Développement (PE&D) in improving its document management and collaboration system. Relief Applications conducted a full diagnosis of existing practices and co-designed a unified Google Workspace structure, policies, and training package to strengthen internal efficiency and governance across PE&D’s headquarters and field offices.
PE&D faced fragmented document storage practices and inconsistent collaboration methods across its teams, resulting in data loss and limited traceability. The SISEO initiative was launched to bring structure, coherence, and governance to PE&D’s digital ecosystem while fostering a collaborative and secure environment for all users.
Relief Applications began with a comprehensive diagnostic phase including staff surveys and interviews at both HQ and field levels. Based on these insights, we co-created a unified Google Workspace architecture, defined access rights, and established shared governance and naming conventions. The process combined participatory design and step-by-step change management.
We designed and implemented a standardized folder structure on Google Drive, built user-friendly documentation (guides, videos, FAQs), and delivered targeted training to support team adoption. The project also included post-deployment recommendations to ensure long-term sustainability and knowledge transfer.
This project showcases Relief Applications’ capacity to deliver digital transformation and document management solutions tailored to NGOs. It highlights our ability to diagnose complex information environments, co-create efficient systems on Google Workspace, and ensure adoption through tailored training and support. The SISEO methodology is replicable for organizations seeking to improve internal knowledge management and collaboration.
