The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) engaged Relief Applications to provide strategic advice for developing key data objects for CORE – a centralized information management system aimed at streamlining data collection and improving service delivery. This consultancy focused on designing taxonomies related to NRC’s service delivery, enabling the system to effectively capture critical operational data in a standardised way.
To that end, Relief Applications conducted in-depth consultations with NRC stakeholders and performed desk reviews to ensure alignment with NRC’s Core Competencies (CCs) and external frameworks. Beyond the core deliverables, the team explored themes such as Community Engagement, Climate & Environment, and Market Systems, identifying opportunities for future integration to ensure the system’s adaptability.
By delivering comprehensive taxonomies and actionable recommendations, Relief Applications has laid the groundwork for a cohesive digital system that enhances NRC’s ability to provide efficient, data-driven services.
