The Client: Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI)

The Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI) was launched by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), a global leader in press freedom and human rights advocacy. JTI’s mission is to foster a healthier information landscape by providing a transparent, standards-based framework that helps consumers, advertisers, distributors, and regulators identify and reward reliable journalism.

The Project

JTI’s innovative web platform empowers media outlets to assess their journalistic practices through a comprehensive self-assessment process and achieve certification via accredited certifiers. To support its mission, the platform is complemented by a resource center offering free tools, guidance, and content for journalists and organizations aiming to elevate their standards or support others in doing so.

Our collaboration with JTI spans 2 years, during which Relief Applications has been responsible for maintaining and enhancing JTI’s suite of digital solutions. This includes their self-assessment platform, resource center, and the public-facing website.
