In collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) for the Durban Call during the 5th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour, Alternatives Factory undertook a crucial project. Their mission involved developing a comprehensive information system for country profiles, which would help to accurately reflect the progress and strategies of each Member State in combating child labor. Additionally, Alternatives Factory organized online workshops with ILO member states to facilitate discussions.

Relief Applications joined the Alternatives Factory efforts to address the challenge of formalizing their methodology to transform the system into a database of country profiles. We developed a detailed methodology manual and provided technical support for the online workshops.

This collaboration aimed to streamline the collection and maintenance of country profiles, providing Member States with a platform to showcase their progress towards the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8.7. Relief Applications and the Alternatives Factory thus contributed to promoting decent work, education, health, and reducing inequalities in the fight against child labor.
