The client

Better Work is a joint collaboration between the United Nation’s International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to improve working conditions and respect of labour rights for workers in the garment industry, and boost the competitiveness of apparel businesses.

According to Better Work sixty million workers across the developing world rely on the garment industry as their main income and their first entry into the job market. Factories are a valuable source of jobs and can help improve livelihoods of workers and their families, but poor working conditions remain issue still in many countries.

The project

Better Work was seeking to make deep changes in their website in order to increase its capacity to attract users and bring awareness about the programme. The website is an important tool for the organization to distribute key work documents for companies, workers and institutions regarding workers rights, security measures and more, and it is the main channel to distribute news about the programme, such as new partnerships, new adhesions by brands and factories.

While the general design of the website was already polished and aligned with the brand the Better Work asked us to improve the adaptation to mobile devices and add functionalities. Relief Applications also conducted a complete  technical SEO study of the page, detecting opportunities in titles, outbound link and a strategic use of keywords.
