ABOUT THIS JOB
As a Social Media Management Intern at Relief Applications, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and communication strategies. Working closely with our current Communication/Marketing Officer, you will collaborate with the marketing team to craft engaging content, manage social media platforms, and support various communication and marketing initiatives. Additionally, you may contribute to content creation and social media management for other innovative projects, broadening your experience in communication across diverse digital landscapes. This is an excellent opportunity for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree student specializing in communication or content creation to gain hands-on experience and mentorship in a dynamic and impactful environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication, Content Management/Creation, or a related field.
Skills
- Fluent in English and French.
- Basic knowledge of MailChimp for email marketing.
- Experience with design tools like Figma or Canva.
- Understanding of social media insights and performance tracking.
- Proficiency in G-Suite for daily tasks and document creation.
- Basic knowledge of Notion for project and knowledge management.
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to review and edit content for clarity and accuracy.
- Multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to collaborate and contribute to team efforts.
- Adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Interest in the humanitarian sector, and technology’s impact.
Experience
- Previous experience managing social media platforms, either professionally or through personal projects, is highly valued.
- Experience in content creation, blogging, or digital marketing is a plus.
- Proof of past work (portfolio, links to past work, or samples) attached to the CV will be highly valued in the application.

POTENTIAL TASK
- Content Creation: Assist in creating compelling content for various platforms, including blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and case studies, to showcase our projects, products, and contributions to the tech and humanitarian sectors.
- Social Media Management: Collaborate on managing our social media presence by scheduling posts, responding to comments, and monitoring trends to maintain an active and engaging online profile.
- Event Support: Contribute to the planning, coordination, and promotion of our participation in conferences, workshops, and industry events. Create promotional materials and manage event-related communications.
- Email Marketing: Assist in designing and implementing email campaigns to keep our partners and clients informed about our projects, products, and company updates.
- Graphic Design: Utilize graphic design tools to create visually appealing materials, such as infographics, banners, and social media graphics, for various communication purposes.
- Research: Conduct research on industry trends, relevant topics, and potential partners to contribute to content creation and communication strategy development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, project managers, and technical experts to gather information and insights necessary for effective communication.
- Project Involvement: Engage in content creation and social media management for additional projects managed by Relief Applications, providing a broader range of communication experiences.
